Barbara Ardoin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ardoin Engineering, has been serving the petroleum industry since 1984. She began her work as a freelance consultant providing services to major oil and gas companies in Beaumont, TX. She later moved to the Houston area in 1987 where she continued to offer consulting services to the oil and gas industry as well as the chemical industry.

In the beginning of her career she began offering services in Computer Technology, Data Research, Data Management, Engineering Support and Software Evaluation & Recommendations.

However, it wasn't very long before her customer began to demand more of her time and requesting other services. Later, she organized her company as Ardoin Consulting Services, Inc. and began receiving more work on a contractual basis. Due to her customer demands she increased the type of services she offered by hiring engineers and engineering techs and placing them in oil and gas companies to work in multi-discipline engineering teams on-site.
